(Glenn) Today we left Sonoma and headed towards Yosemite National Park. On the way through Fairfield, California we noticed the colorful Jelly Belly jellybean factory. We steered into the parking lot and jumped in line for a factory tour. It was a very interesting tour with plenty of samples. The remainder of the ride today was not very enjoyable. This area is suffering a drought and everything looks so dry and brown. We finally saw temperatures that peaked at 100 degrees and motorcycles have poor air conditioning so the heat really drained us before we reached the hotel. We are staying in Groveland, CA at the Groveland Hotel. It is a very nice "homey-feeling" bed and breakfast. We are sitting on the balcony of our room behind the stage listening to a great tribute band playing music of The Eagles before bedtime. Tomorrow we will try to start our touring of Yosemite before it gets too hot. The people here said tomorrow will be hotter than today.
(Cathy Last night after posting blog we went down to the hot tub and met two lovely ladies from Tiburon, California. I think they just wanted to hear me talk with my southern accent.lol. Anyway, we were just really enjoying talking and laughing with them.. I guess we got too rowdy and someone complained. It wasn't that late!! The desk clerk came over and asked us to hold it down. Never been kicked out of a hot tub before. They were Californians but we could take them back to Alabama with us and we would have fun.
